Local Attractions in South Wales
Activity packed holiday in Afan Valley!
Even though you are up in the mountains you are only a few miles from the sea. The best beach in the area is the three mile long Newton beach and dunes near Porthcawl. It stretches all the way around to Ogmore-by-Sea and is always relatively empty. It has the added advantage of being dog friendly. The beach is also used for horse-riding with jet ski and kayaking lesson conducted just offshore.
Ideally situated for mountain bikers who wish to visit the Afan Forest Park. It is also ideal for visitors to the beautiful Bwlch Mountain.
